Headboards...new and updated

Spring time always reminds me of making changes in the house, decorating, painting, fixing broken things, gardening and everything that involves new ideas and long hours of hard work- but a very rewarding hard work! Lets consider an option of updating our bedroom for a while... you have painted the walls, changed curtains to more bright and funky design, de-cluttered all corners (remember Feng Shui?), added new cushions to your bed and got yourself a fun wall sticker from wallstickers.ie. Everything looks great but...wait...the headboard is still the same and you just realized that it doesn't fit with the new décor! but NO PANIC... you don't have to buy a new one to match your beautiful cushions...
There are three main ways you can update your old headboard...
1. Cover It
2. Pad It
3. Paint It... here is a link where you can find more details on these techniques http://voices.yahoo.com/3-ways-update-outdated-headboard-1416267.html

In my opinion the easiest is to paint your old headboard however padding it gives the most effect bringing a grand feel to the bedroom, which is something that I personally adore, but on the other hand is more expensive and time consuming.

Plus: I think you can always cover your headboard with our "Furniture Veneers". Check out our website for patterns http://wallstickers-ie.co.uk/en/categories/3-veneer-furniture/products
Furniture Veneers ( like self-adhesive wall papers) are resistant to mechanical and thermal damages.

Below are some ideas for unique headboards...which one is your favourite?
